Gran Turismo Download & Review

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

There are 2 new posts, this one and the one below it. The post below this one, has all of the links for the download for Gran Turismo. The game ISO has been "fixed" to work on 5.00 m33-6! It will not work on anything lower than that custom firmware. Also, it is EUR, so set a fake region in the recovery menu to EUR. "EUR" is not USA, it is European. Anyways, now for the review.

Graphics
Five out of five graphics. Absolutely perfect, amazing for the PSP's screen. Astounding, bright, colorful graphics that pop out of the screen and make the game look very close to realistic. Very tiny jagged edges on some things, but those are very unnoticable. All in all, graphics are excellent, better than any other games on the PSP.

Gameplay
Five out of five again. Obvious reasons. The turning feels very smooth, very realistic. When you're turning the car, it actually feels like you are turning the wheel and not the whole car. The AI is not dumb at all. Instead of just trying to get ahead of you in the race, the AI cars are actually bumping each other from the side and using some cool techniques to make the player lose. Though, it is still easy to win the races.

Story Line
Racing games do not have story lines. Some do, like Need for Speed Underground 2 and Revolution Racing. Just pure, racing fun.

Sound & Music
Music is alright, nothing special here. The sounds are great though. Very realistic sound effects, that actually sound like they were taken from real cars and imported for the game. Grab a pair of headphones and the sound effects are incredible. When wearing headphones, the stages seem to come alive.

Overall Rating
This game is awesome. There is no reason why you shouldn't get it for your PSP GO or PSP 3000. A bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it. The replay value is huge here, since there are over 500 cars to choose from. There is also Ad-Hoc multiplayer with up to 4 players, which also adds to replay value. Great game, 9.5/10 marks for this gem!

Check the post below for the download link to this game.
