PSP Slim: Success OR Failure?

Thursday, April 30, 2009

The kind of new Sony PSP Slim has a ton of great features, but has some flaws that make the portable gaming system average. It has a wide screen, mini control stick and D-Pad, and some nice buttons on the bottom of the screen. Those buttons on the bottom of the screen control the screen brightness, volume level, exiting a game, and the start button. You can buy it in a pack that comes with a memory stick, system, game and movie. I did not buy that package, because of its price at $220 canadian. I bought a used PSP Slim with free game and memory stick. Mine fortunately, came with Daxter and a 1GB SONY memory stick! Yours might be different depending on what package you are buying. Anyways, the PSP Slim, as the name suggests is a little bit skinnier than its older version, the Phat PSP. BUT, none the less, it is still bulky in weight and size. You can play games, watch movies, listen to music and even surf the web. There is also a built in radio too. There are also many firmware upgrades from SONY's website which give the PSP Slim more features.

Let's start with its games! The PSP Slim's graphics are very similar to Playstation 2's, so, it is kind of like a portable PS2. Some of the best games I've played and heard of are, God Of War, Daxter, Syphon Filter, Medal Of Honor, etc. It does not have many great titles, only a few are great. So don't buy it, if you just want to play God Of War, it is not worth it. It has built in WiFi for multiplayer gaming. Infrastructure mode which lets you play live with anyone on the network or Ad-Hoc which is just between you and a friend who is nearby. The WiFi does use up a lot of battery space, so expect only about 2 and half hours of multiplayer gaming. Medal of Honor 2: Heroes is one of the best FPS multiplayer games for the Slim, due to its graphics and replay value of course. Other than that, not much to say about the game list.

You can play mp3s and AAC tracks, I have not tried any other file format for the PSP Slim's music player. You can watch videos also, but they must be in .MP4 format AND the video must be in the correct folder, or else it will say corrupted file. The Slim has a TV-Out function which is new and is a function that boosts the PSP Slim's rating a little bit. Please note, that if you want to play a video game on your TV, you need the component AV Cable and you must have the component hookups on the back of your TV. You can play music and movies on your TV with the normal AV Cables which is good, but not great. The PSP Slim has a internet browser built in, but it is too slow. It does not matter if you have a good router or an expensive internet connection. It will always be slow, no 3G networks on PSP Slim.

Those are pretty much all the features of a PSP Slim, I would only recommend buying it if you are going to hack your PSP Slim.

Super Punch-Out? Play It!

Friday, April 24, 2009

Nintendo's Super Punch-Out! is an excellent video game featuring some cartoony graphics and neat game play. In this review, you will hear about some major strengths that Super Punch-Out! had. On to the review!

-Graphics *****
The graphics in Super Punch-Out! are great. When you first turn it on and look at the intro, it is amazing! It starts out with a great intro showing the character Little Mac, but now he is not so little you'll notice. The boxers are all very well done too. Gabby Jay, the first opponent, has some great detail and looks very cartoony indeed.

-Gameplay ****
The gameplay of Super Punch-Out! is quite exciting actually. The Y and B buttons are used to jab left and right. If you hold the "up" key on the D-Pad and then punch, you will notice, Little Mac does a face jab. There are also many different types of punches that can be used. For example, you can do a super charged rapid punch or a 1-hit super punch. Both do equal damage, but it is arguable that a rapid punch gives more score, because you are punching more than once. You are also able to dodge the opponent's jabs by, pressing the left, right or down on the D-Pad. You can also block low, by pressing nothing. Or you can block high by holding the up key when the opponent jabs at your face. The only thing that could have improved the gameplay was more fighters. If there was two more circuits then that would have been great! There are only four circuits, the last one being a special curcuit. There's only four fighters in each of the curcuits with a total of twelve fighters. That's not a lot if you play average. It should take an average gamer an hour or two. Overall, the gameplay was exceptional with just one flaw.

-Sound ***
The sounds or music in Super Punch-Out! are somewhat enjoyable. You will notice that most of the background tracks that play when you are boxing are the same. Hearing the same background music in each stage can be tedious. The jabbing sounds are good. When you jab and miss, you can't expect an amazing explosion sound or something. Though, when you super punch, you will notice an air kind of noise when you punch which was realistic in some ways. When a jab hits the opponent, a bopping noise indicates that the enemy has been hit. They will also sometimes make a noise. For example, Gabby Jay makes an "oh!" noise when he gets hit in the stomach or face, or when he gets stunned. The music could use some work and could have been a little bit more original.

-AI Enemy **
To the average gamer, Super Punch-Out! may seem like that the enemy is doing many different moves and attack patterns that are hard to follow, but they aren't. In fact, finish the game a few times, you will memorize some of the attack patterns. The opponents also have special attacks too. For example, Piston Hurricane does a hurricane attack in which he does multiple punches for a short period of time. These special attacks are extremely easy to counter and block and dodge. You'll notice that after Mad Clown has been knocked down twice, he does a special rapid punch combo. You can avoid the damage simply by holding the up button the D-pad then moving right or left. These special attacks also make the attack pattern more simpler and easier. In conclusion, the AI in Super Punch-Out! could have used a little more "random punches".

-Overall Mark ****
Nintendo's Super Punch-Out! gave us some neat gameplay with astounding graphics, but at the same time decreasing some of the fun of the gameplay. You may have also noticed that some people consider it as a classic Super Nintendo title, and that maybe true for you to, if you've played it. All in all, this game is a great play, pick it up if you can. I gave this game 4/5 stars. Great job Super Punch-Out!

Don't buy Dell Desktop

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

I bought Dell Dimension 3100 dekstop a month ago. It cost me about $2000 something with tax. All I can say is, it was a waste of money. First, the mouse wasn't working well when I put it on the mouse pad, it starts moving by itself unless I put the mouse directly on my desk without the pad. Secondly, my main cd drive stopped opening when I pressed the CD drive button. Whenever I press it, it opens just a bit(not enough to put even half the CD in) then closes by itself. Third, I can't burn any movies on writable cds. When I first bought it, it was working well, and I could easily burn movies onto cds, but now it says "unable to burn" even onto a blank cd. The worst thing is, the CD it fails to burn to becomes useless after the failed attempt to burn the movie. Another problem with this computer is the USB ports. It has 4 on the back and 2 in front of the CPU. ONLY 3 of the four ports on the back work. For some reason, one of the ports stopped working. And 1 port in the front is messed up. When i put in my flash drive or anything else like my mouse, the computer shuts down by itself, which is really odd. Recently, a new problem I started encountering is the CPU noise. Whenever I play a game(old Halo game), the CPU starts making loud sounds and the game lags alot(enough so that I get mad and exit it). I used to play it fine a month ago. This explains that they installed a terrible graphics card. That's about it.... so far. With so many problems in only a month's time elapsed, I'm expecting more problems in the near future. I'll close by recommending that anyone who is thinking about buying a Dell computer, SHOULD NOT. I can't really recommend a good computer, but I can sure say that buying a DELL is a waste of money. There is even a site listed first in google called ihatedell.net

How To: Sell Something Effectively!

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Selling some old items out of your house can be difficult at times, so I will tell you how to sell all your uneeded items fast. The site that I use to post my used stuff is, Kijiji.com. You can put an ad for free, 3 weeks max. You can put pictures in the ad, change the font and text color too. You can also buy some ad packages that will make your ad more bold and featured than other ads. So, that is what makes Kijiji a good ad site. The other site I sometimes use is, Craigs List. The layout is somewhat good, I little complicated. There is a little bit too much text all over the site. BUT, the search feature is unbelievable! Some people post more of their ads on Craigs List, because it was rated #1 before. Some items that I am looking for are on Craigs List but are not on Kijiji. Both are great, both feature ad packages that feature your ad. Once you've decided which site you are going to post your ad to, next is the item itself. Figure out what kind of thing you are selling. For example, is it a tool, electronic, furniture, etc. Try to estimate how much you bought it for in the past. There are a few things to consider for the price of the items. You can ONLY sell it for the original price, IF it is in perfect condition and it comes in the original box without any flaws. I understand that some things you may have bought did not have boxes, so it does not matter in that case. For furniture, you still may have the original plastic wrappings. Putting plastic wrappings back on furniture is hard, so don't bother wasting time on it. The price can be either half of the original or -5$ of the original price. You've got to check its condition, make sure it is working good. If the item does not work, you can still sell it for parts. For example, some broken laptops still can be sold for someone else' s use, they might need some extra computer parts, like RAM or a processor. After you have determined the price of the object, next is pictures! Putting a few or many pictures helps the buyer to actually see how the product looks. That also saves them wasting gas on coming to the seller's house just to see the object. Take pictures from the front, back and sides. It depends, if it is just a decoration, take 1 picture only. Furniture should have at least 3 pictures. Electronics can have as many as 10 pictures. When you are going to take a picture, take a picture with a good quality camera. Cell phone cameras can't have as good quality compared to a real Kodak camera. Make sure the light source is not directly on top of the item, but just facing it from the side. When you are finished with your pictures, upload them. Next, you will actually need to setup the ad. Uploading the image is also the ad setup too. The title of the ad should be simple and to the point. No one will be interested if you put up a computer with all the specs in the title. The detailed portion, if needed, should be in the description of the ad. Put as much details you want in the description, just keep the title simple and concise. Don't use font colors that are hard to see. If the background is white, 9/10 it is, use a dark color. The darkest color by default is black. Just keep it black if you don't want to spend too much time making the ad glamorous. Now, just post it! You are done. Make sure you have put in a working e-mail address, phone number, etc. Double check every detail of the ad and make sure it looks good. When you are ready to post, post away! After that, all you have to do is wait for a buyer. Good Luck selling your stuff!

How To: Create A Media Player In Visual Basic 6

Hello! In this tutorial, you will learn how to create your own media player in Visual Basic 6. Visual Basic 6 is one of the most simplest programming software. There are many new versions of Visual Basic, but version 6 is one of the most popular ones people like. Other programming languages you may have heard of are, C+, C++, C#, Java, etc. Those ones are much more complicated than Visual Basic 6. Anyways, open up Visual Basic 6. When you execute the program, it will ask you what kind of program you want to create. Simply click Standard Exe for this How-To. A blank window will be created with the default properties, the label will say "Form 1". You can resize the form by dragging the corners out if you want to. Next, right click the toolbar on the left side of the program. Click the Components... button. It will open a window with a lot of different components you can add and remove. Click the Controls tab at the top and scroll all the way down until you see, "Windows Media Player". Tick off the box beside it and click Apply then click Close. Click the new button that has appeared. Now, within the Form 1 window, create a Windows Media Player screen. You can remove the video screen of the Windows Media Player if you want to, you don't have to though. Click the text box button and create a text box. Then, click the command button and drag and create a command button in the form 1 screen. The textbox is where the directory of the media file will be. For example, C:/Desktop/mp3.mp3, would be a directory. The command button will be used to tell the program to find the file and then output the file's contents into the windows media player widget. So, double click the command button you've created to open up it's code properties. Click between the code that is already there and type, "WindowsMediaPlayer1.URL = Text1.Text". Type it without the quotations of course. If you do not want the Text Box to say text1 inside of it by default, click on the Textbox to bring up its properties in the bottom right part of the screen. Now, look for where it says Text. It should have text1 by default inside of the box. Click the box and change it you whatever you want, leave it blank if you want to. That's it! Simply hit the "Start" button at the top of the screen to run it. To get a media file's directory, right click it. Where it says Location, select and copy the text beside of it and paste it into the program's textbox. Do not forget to put in another \ slash and then type the name of the media file with extension. It should be Example.mp3 or Example.AVI. This is a rather simple program and looks OK for a beginner user in VB6. Thanks for reading!

How to lose weight

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Simple things people forget when trying to lose weight. If you follow the steps below and don't see an improvment in your weight, you are most likely cheating.

1. Don't eat junk food. No, I'm not crazy. Junk foods have more calories than healthy foods. You will definitely see an improvement if you give up junk food. Try it for a month.

2. Exercise. You all know this. Start slowly and do things you like to avoid boredom. Very light exercise 20-30 minutes will help. Exercise for a day then rest, exercise then rest, etc. Be consistent.

3. If you eat junk food, replace it with fruits and vegetables. You will feel fuller and eat less. Don't starve yourself though. Eat 5 fruits daily and at least 2 or 3 vegetables raw.

Do this for a month or more. If you don't see an improvement, you're cheating!! I lost 30 pounds. Went from 180lbs to 150lbs in.... 3 months I think. I'm 5'11 btw.

Like Doing Surveys?

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Hello! As I was looking for new ways of making some extra cash online, I completely forgot about a method that was good for quick cash! The method was surveys. Taking surveys for the right sites will help you make extra money quickly and easily without too much effort. The site that I like to use is trustworthy and exceptional. The website is called GlobalTestMarket.com. All you have do is, register on their site, put in your e-mail address and they will send you surveys by e-mail almost everyday! I think the only method of payment is PayPal right now. The minimum is 1000 points. When you have completed a survey successfully, you will be awarded a certain amount of points. These points can be redeemed for cash and then put into your PayPal acoount. The 1000 points is equal to 50$ american. Some surveys are short, some long, some give 50 points and some give 200 points. Personally, I've only gotten a 100 point survey so far. The site is absolutely great! The actual layout of the website is simple and good looking too. Many people have reviewed the site and have said it is not a scam. I will test it myself when I have enough points to redeem. No credit card or personal identification information is necessary, other than your e-mail address and address. The length of the surveys varies from survey to survey, I had a survey today that took 10 minutes! At first, 1000 points may seem to be too much, but if you count up the number of surveys you get everyday, you can see the progress easily. I recommend this way of making some extra cash online! This is a great, easy way to make a few extra bucks online without having to put too much effort into it. Thanks for reading!

How To: Emulate Linux!

Sunday, April 12, 2009

Hello! Today I will be showing you how to "emulate" another operating system. When you are going to emulate the OS, you will be required to partition and all of that. The only OS you do not have to partition for is, DSL Linux and Puppy Linux. DSL Linux is only a 50MB ISO file and Puppy Linux is 100MB ISO. Both do not require a partition and can be booted from a CD. I've tried both, Puppy Linux seems to work and look better. Emulation of an OS also requires a lot of resources too. Make sure you have at least 1GB RAM and 2GHz processor. If your computer does not meet that minimum, the OS may lag. I have 512 MB RAM and 1.5 GHz processor, DSL Linux lagged for me. Anyways, you will need a short list of items for this How-To. First, you need an .ISO file of the operating system. If you have a CD, there are ways to rip the contents off of it and create an ISO file. Check out this link if you need to rip the ISO, http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-makeiso.htm. For that you will need to install Magic ISO. After you have got the ISO file, you have to get VMware Player. Downloading the trial requires registering on their site, here's the link; http://www.vmware.com/download/player/. Next, you will need the OS VMware files. Get it here; http://rapidshare.com/files/207601054/OS.rar.
Extract it into a folder and put the .ISO file inside the folder too. Right click on the configuration files, the .vmdk and the .vmx files. Select properties and find the text Read Only. Uncheck the box and hit apply. Do this for both the files. Next, right click the OS.vmx file and click open with. Select notepad and click open. You will see that there is some text in the file. Find the text, ide1:0.fileName = "c:\image.iso". You will need to put the exact directory and file name of the ISO image file of your Linux. After that, save it. And that's it! Just double click the OS.vmx file and it should start loading the operating system. I have only tried Ubuntu Linux, Puppy Linux and DSL Linux. For the full Linux versions, like Ubuntu, you will need to create a partition and it might not read your current partition. You can attach external USB devices by clicking on the icons that are located in the bottom right hand of the screen. Just click them and click attach. You can connect many devices, but depends on the Linux. And that's all! It's easy, but only do it if you have a good PC that can handle 2 operating systems at once. Thanks for reading!

How To: Cure A Stomach Ache OR Head Ache!

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Hello! Recently, I was sick and had many head aches. I also had a very bad stomach ache at the same time too. So, today I will be showing you how to get rid of that ache! I will be covering both stomach and head aches in this post. To cure a Stomach Ache, you need to find out why you have a stomach ache. One possible reason is, that you haven't eaten anything and you are hungry. The other is, that you have eaten something is hard to digest and did NOT properly digest in your stomach. If you have made a conclusion that you are hungry, go eat something right now. If you aren't hungry and have a digestive problem, get Lemon Water. Lemon Water is excellent for digesting properly and has Vitamin C too. To make Lemon Water, simply take a glass of water, warm it. Take the warm water and squeeze a few drops of lemon into it. I would say about, 15 drops or so should do it. To digest, you can also walk in paces back and forth. Do not run or jog. Just gently pace back and forth walking. Walking also helps digest, it let's the undigested food settle more easily. On to Head Aches. Head Aches are one of the most annoying things you can get. Your head throbs, you can feel it with your hands too. There are many "cures" for head aches, I will show the most basic ones. The first way is to lie down. Take a nice long rest in your comfy bed. Chances are, if you sleep an hour or so, the head ache will be gone by then. I do not the medical explanation of this or the science explanation, but it works. Always. The next way involves actually doing something. You might have to take the head ache for a few moments. Take both of your hands and gently, move them in a counter clockwise circle on your veins. These veins should be on your temple. The temple is the forehead. The veins are on the left and the right. Gently do it for about 5 minutes. It should soothe the head ache. It has some chance of getting rid of the head ache. If you cannot sleep, this is the second best choice. The last way is, relax. Sometimes a head ache occurs when you have too much on your mind or your brain is taking in too much at a time. Just relax and take a deep breath. Get a cup of coffee if it helps. Drink something warm and soothing. White tea or Green tea is excellent. Both of those teas are healthy and can cure head aches fast. The basic point is, something that is warm helps relax the senses. It mainly relaxes the brain and tries to calm it down. Those are some great ways to cure your stomache aches and head aches! Thanks for reading!

How To: Build A PVR

Friday, April 10, 2009

Hello surfers! Today you will learn how to build your own PVR machine. A PVR is a Personal Video Recorder. As the title suggests, it let's you record shows, movies from your TV to the hard drive. A PVR can cost anywhere from $10 to $20 a month just for a PVR upgrade. The things you will need for this project are; hard drive, old computer! I say old computer, because you wouldn't want to save movies and shows on your gaming PC or business computer. So, take an old computer, buy a TV Tuner card. TV Tuner cards allow you plug in your cable/antenna or dish directly into the computer. That means you can watch shows and movies on the computer. Some TV Tuner cards also have TV-Out which is great too. If you can find a cheap one that has both, that would really help if you do not have a very good TV. Now for the hard drives. You can buy external hard drives from many computer stores. You can buy a 1TB external hard drive from TigerDirect.ca for only $159.99. It is kind of over sized but it works. 1Tb is 1000 GB, that is a lot. If you do have a lot of money, buy two. The last thing you need is some software to stream your cable/antenna or dish on your computer. Your TV Tuner card should come with a application to stream live tv. If it does not, you can get a 21-day trial of Sage TV's software. Sage TV's software works with most TV Tuner cards. Install your software, attach your cable/antenna to the PC. Run your software and every TV Tuner software has a record function built in. Just hit record, and let it record! That is it. If you did buy a TV Tuner and TV Out 2 in 1, then you can stream your recorded videos onto your TV. The great thing about this "PVR" is that it has no extra monthly fees. I also recommend buying JUST a CPU, it is really cheap. You can get one for only $70. Playing videos does not require a vast amount of RAM or 8 cores. You just need it to be small and it should be able to play videos. If you are buying a CPU, make sure the video card says dedicated. Dedicated video cards can be removed and upgraded. Integrated cards cannot be removed. If it already has a TV Tuner and TV Out, then that is great. That's pretty much it! This is the most basic way to make a PVR, but can be costly depending on the size of external hard drive. A 160GB External Hard Drive costs $70, so buy that one if you don't need 1TB. Thanks for reading!

2 Different Ways To Make Money Online

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Hello, everyone! Today I will be discussing the two main ways a person can make money online. Both these ways are legitimate and require no money. This just means you won't end up using your credit card to make $550/day. Yes, there was a scam in a newspaper, that read, "Make $550 A Day!". Of course, it is a fake. They say you need to put in $50 before you start. I am sorry to say people actually did it. Anyways, the two online ways are; Blogging OR Data Entry Clerk. Let's start with blogging. A blog needs to have a interesting topic that people find amusing and useful. When people read your blog post, you want them to think, wow what a great blog. To do that, you need to find what people want and how you are going to write it up. For instance, say people like money, I make a post about how to make money! But, to make that post about money, I need to make it either thorough and detailed or short and sweet. In my case, I am kind of in the middle of long and sweet. A blog also needs a simple design. No complicated pictures with dazzling GIF images and flash videos all over the place. You want to keep it simple, yet intelligent. So, just pick the most simplest layout there is in the choices of a layout. If you are making a website, you will notice that some do not offer layout designs. That means you will have to create your own design, which is a bit harder. It would be easier if you were a web developer. If you are a web developer, I hope you are reading this for fun only. Anyways, the point is a blog needs some juicy topics, and the way they are written should be fabulous too. Nobody reads a blog with the same words over and over again. That pretty much sums up blogging. On to Data Entry Clerk. This requires a bachelor's degree. Plain and simple. if the company you are applying asks for experience, forget about it. Unless they are desperate, they won't hire you instantly. The main things they ask are, typed words per minute, experience if any, and degree. If you are too desperate and decide to LIE on your resume, please do not. Lying will get you no where and will destroy your conscience. The point of DEC is, that you need to hammer away at those keyboard keys fast. And I mean REAL FAST. You type like your life depends on it. Well, it technically can, you need money for food. So, the 2nd option is more likely if you are fast typer. BUT, beware, typing fast is good, but if you don't type with 100% accuracy, you are finished. And I mean finished. 60% accuracy will get you no where! Mostly employers will ask for at least 45 WPM and 100% accuracy. Get those and some experience and you've got the job! So, there are your two ways of making money online. Oh, I forgot to mention something. Data Entry Clerk can be done from home as well. That is what makes it a #1 job for some people. Good Luck in making your money! Thanks for reading!

Tips For Buying A New Computer

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Hello, everyone! Since I am going to buy a new PC, (no mac) I've decided to make a short list of what to consider when you're out and about, searching for your soul computer. First, you've got to figure out what the computer will be used for mainly. For example, gaming, business etc. Gaming computers don't come cheap. A high-end gaming desktop can cost from a mere $4,000 to a high $8,000. Business computers are very cheap, you can get them as cheap as $300. They are mostly designed to use Microsoft Office, Taxes, Payroll, etc. The other two types of computers are, server and All-In-One. Server computers are used mostly to be made as a source of networking. So other people can connect to your server PC. They have large amounts of RAM and big hard drives. The average of a server PC I'v seen is 32GB RAM with 1TB Hard Drive. That was only a server PC of my friends. An industrial size server PC would be too large for a normal programmer or just someone who uses a computer everyday. The AIO (All-In-One) computers are terrible. I've experienced Dell and HP. The list of games it runs is too small. It handles Microsoft Office well, but eventually lags when using both at the same time. For instance, if you are playing an mp3 file while playing Halo, you will experience lag. Lenovo desktops however, the business desktops run new games well. They are also cheap too. So, now that you've decided what the main purpose of that computer will be, the next step is the price range. Look at your income, make sure to subtract taxes and what not from the total income. Don't buy a $12,000 computer if your salary is only $25,000 a year. Say my income is $55,000 and I want a high end gaming PC. Would it be worth it? Probably not, because I also need something that can handle Office applications excellent. I also don't play games as often on the computer. So, I would set my price range at, $750 to $1,500. Somewhere between that amount I should be able to get a decent working Lenovo desktop. The last step is to be reasonable. Make sure that the prices and the main purpose are reasonable. You can't buy a high end gaming PC for only $200. Though you can buy a terrible business computer for $200, that is, used of course. In conclusion, these are the things I look for, when I am going to buy a new computer. Thanks for reading, and don't buy the macs. Please.

How To: Download MP3s

Monday, April 6, 2009

Hullo! Today, you will learn where and how to download MP3s for free. Now there is a quite a long list of sites that you can get MP3s from for free. There are some things to keep in mind, when going to these websites.

  1. Make sure the mp3 is completely free.
  2. Make sure the site has no viruses.
  3. Make sure no sign-up is required.
  4. Finally, make sure it's quick and easy to download.

Those four things may help you a lot in your search of an mp3. The first way, that I do not normally use, is 100% virus free, the down side is, you may not find the mp3 you're looking for. For this method, you will JimmyR's mp3 site. Go to Google and search "jimmyr mp3 search", without the quotations. Click the first link, if not click the second link. Type in the name of the song, if necessary type in the artist too. Click the drop-box and make sure mp3 Music is selected. Hit the Super Google Search button. It will open a new window, with the results. You will notice that the sites all have /index in them. This is the root of the website, where all the uploaded files on the site are stored. These sites are all on Google, plus they don't require viewing any suspicous or dangerous ads. But remember, the only con of this method is, that you might not find the mp3 you are looking for. Not all sites have an /index like these ones, because they used a different way of uploading and such. If that method did not satisfy your free mp3 "needs", I should say wants, but oh well. Anyways, if that did not, then the second method is YOUR way to go. The second method may give you viruses and may not. It all depends on the website you are visiting. If there are a lot of pop-ups and ads, close the site immediately.

Let's get on with the second method, shall we? Now, this way works, oh let's say, 85% of the time. Sometimes the mp3 is on the site, but the link is broken. It will not get fixed, so forget about that site. In this method, just make sure there is no sign up required. Even if you have to signup and the downloads are free, no one likes to waste time in signing up for a website. Sign-up ONLY if there is no other website available. The main sites I've got are, mp3fusion.net. That website has a lot of the new mp3s and some old ones. Yourmp3.net, has new ones as well as many old mp3s. Yourmp3.net, sometimes the download links are broken or they just redirect you back to the main site of YourMp3.net. Mp3fusion.net, 90% of the links work, you can count on it. Go ahead. Count. AirMp3.net is not one my favorites, due its fact of having a lot of pop-ups. I have not encountered any viruses from it, yet. It will have many different link texts, of the song you are looking for, but they just lead to the same page. The links do work 95% of the time. Hmmmmm, what else to say about this? It is an ok site, I don't depend on it a lot. Esnips. My, my, my! Could a website be anymore legitimate? This website is so legal, it is unbelievable. The things people will upload to it. If you already know about Esnips, you will know that when you click an mp3 link, it plays in the web browser. You can't download it, or can you? Yes, you can. With a little tool, I like to call, PDF downloader. You will not need to download any software for this. The site to the downloader is http://www.rioleo.org/esnipsdownloader/. Simply put the esnips URL in the text box and hit download, then click, "click to download". It works 100% of the time, I've tested it with mp3s, videos, pictures. It works with everything! Esnips, you can depend on it.

The third method should only be used in case of an emergency, say an mp3 deafening. An mp3 deafening, is when you have not listened to any mp3s within 24 hours, and you are constantly hearing a ringing noise in your ears. The third method, you will have to download sofware. Bittorrent, is an excellent 1st choice for the 3rd method. Bittorrent has given me viruses before, terrible spyware viruses. The other way my brother used to use a long while ago. This software is called Limewire. When it first came out, it was good and easy to use. Now, when you search something in Limewire, you can't really identify what you should download. It's ok, I only used it once, when I was downloading a movie. When I actually downloaded it, it wasn't a movie, it was trojan in disguise. It unpacked itself into my PC, it crashed my PC. I hate Limewire, but remember this is the 3rd method! I hate the 3rd method myself.

The 4th method is not long. This is the easiest way. Why isn't it on the 2nd method, or 1st method you ask? Well, this way costs money. REAL money, no Monopoly here. Yes, I mean downloading iTunes or Napster, Real Player, anything. All of these source require to sign up AND buy the mp3. A popular song can cost anywhere from 80 cents to a dollar. I've never bought any mp3s from iTunes, but I have installed it and seen the interface. It is good, if you're willing to pay the price. iTunes is legit and 100% virus free, all links work. iTunes is also offering TV Show and movies for download. I do not recommend buying shows and movies from iTunes as the price is terrible. if you want shows and movies at a cheap rate, go to Netflix. Netflix is 9.99$ a month. Real Player and Napster look almost exactly the same. Correct me if they are the same thing. And that ends the horrible 4th method.

I hope this guide has helped you achieving your goal of listening to an mp3. Suggestions and comments are very welcome, feel free to post. Thanks for reading and don't forget to subscribe.

How To: Watch International Channels Live Free

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Hello again! Today, I will be showing you how to view international channels for free on your computer LIVE. As some of you that are familiar with FTA Receivers, they are getting shut down. Nagra 3 is the new encryption and so it will be spreading really fast and will block out the FTA Recievers. The International channels were the first ones to be blocked, which is quite hilarious. As of now there are two options available to the previous FTA user. One would be to BUY a legit Dish Network Service with International Channels. There is also a Dish Network Promo that is going on right now, 9.95 for 6 months and 150+ channels. That includes premium movie channels and such. Now, the other option would be to view them online LIVE and this is legit. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's free. First thing you're going to have to figure out is, what channel you want. Pick your favorite, I know the most popular ones are Zee TV, Geo, etc. So, say I want to view Zee TV online live, I would google, free online live zee tv. It will give you a vast amount of results which are all working. Please also note that some programs are far more ahead then the USA counterparts, like Zee TV India is ahead of Zee TV USA.
The Most Popular Channels:http://www.idesitv.com/ That website has the popular international channels for free, no Arabic channels though. Arabic channels I know are very popular, but it is harder to find them. If you know a website for Arabic channels, please post it in the comments. Thanks!

Good Games For A Bad PC

Hello, everyone! It has come to my attention that some of us, still have a terrible computer, but still want to play the good PC games out there. Well, let me start off with my PC's specs. So here they are;

+Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.50GHz
+512 MB SD RAM
+RAGE 128 PRO AGP 4X 32MB (Microsoft Corporation)

There are so many games that I want to try out but can't because of this computer. I am hoping to buy a new computer in the near future, but I am going to focus on the now. I've put the games in no particular order.

First-Person Shooters
Half-Life 1
Quake 1, 2, 3, maybe 4
Unreal Tournament ANY
Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault
Jedi Knight
Hexen
Heretic
Duke Nukem
Doom

Third Person Shooters
Max Payne 1,2
Deus Ex

RPG Games
Diablo 1,2
MapleStory
Final Fantasy VII, VIII
Dungeons & Dragons DOS

Driving Games
Need For Speed 1,2,3
ATV Quad Racing
Crazy Taxi

That's pretty much what I could find. I haven't tested a lot of other games, but feel free to post comments about which games to could run on a bad PC. I've tried Grand Theft Auto III, but it lagged, though there are some suggestions I could give you to speed it up. If you have 1GB RAM, you could possibly run GTAIII without major lag. Go into the Options, and change everything to its lowest settings, turn off shadows. Make your screen resolution 1024x768. Some people even have change its compatibility mode to Windows 98 to make it run flawlessly. You can do it by right clicking the exe and then click properties. Then click the Compatibility tab and check off, 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'. Choose what ever option works for you to make the game work at its best. GTA San Andreas is another one, that I wanted to play on my PC, but it was hopeless. Don't try Combat Arms or Call Of Duty. I've tested them a few minutes ago, and they were horrible. I hope this article has helped in some way to play some great games on your PC! Thanks for reading.

How To: Break Graboid's Bandwidth Limit!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Hey, guys! This How-To is a keeper for sure! If you like movies, tv shows, cartoons and all that, Graboid is for you! Is it free, you ask? Not at all, but we will make it free. When you download Graboid and sign up, they give a limited bandwidth of, say somewhere around 5000mb, which is roughly 5GB. One movie is almost 800MB, so that can't possibly hold tons of movies, can it? I'll show you, how to remove the limit and get bandwidth for free, in Graboid! You will need 2 things, Graboid Setup and Effective File Search. You can get Graboid Setup at, http://www.graboid.com/home/download/. You can EFS from http://www.sowsoft.com/search.htm. I'm going to assume, you have already used the Graboid Trial Bandwidth that you get for free when you sign up for the trial. So, you have Graboid installed already. Install EFS and uninstall Graboid. Now run the program Effective File Search. It will give you a nag screen, saying it is a shareware. Look for the "Containing Text" tab and click it. Now find, RegEx checkbox and tick it. In the text box, type "Graboid", without the quotations. After it has scanned every file possible that is related to Graboid, delete all those files. Install Graboid again and make a new account. You will notice, it says nothing about a trial or limited bandwidth. You can do this as many times as you wish. It works 100%, if it does not, you have done something incorrectly, you may have not deleted every single file. You still will not be able to view HD videos, but it still is worth it. Other than that, Graboid is a great program, but it's just not worth buying for a few HD quality movies and shows. Enjoy your movies and thanks for reading this How-To!!!

Shakespeare A Fake?!?

A vile story is spreading out on the streets of Waterloo, Ontario. This evil cursed story, is of course newly "invented". The story is, Shakespeare copied all the plays from a Italian writer. The group of people that discovered this news, found an Italian version of Romeo & Juliet. This Italian version also looked more older and decrepid than the version of Shakespeare's, which could mean a lot of things. It could mean, Shakespeare DID steal the Italian writer's work, or it could mean that the Italian writer wanted to make a version of Romeo & Juliet in Italian. I never really liked Shakespeare, but accusing someone that's dead of stealing, hmmmm..... I could not find an article on this on the web, I heard it in the newspaper of Waterloo University. Anybody defending Shakespeare? Of course, many will. The true fans will always try to believe in their hero and deny everything that anyone says negative about them. If it is true, English teachers might remove Shakespeare from the curriculum forever. That of course, would be an historical event, that I would LOVE to see. Thanks for reading this so called "NEWS".

How To: Speed Up Your Computer!

Hi, today I will be showing you how to speed up your computer to its full power! Before I begin, there is one thing I will be telling you. If you have an old compute with 32MB RAM, it won't speed up to be like a 32GB RAM PC. If that is the case, you will have to buy a new computer. I am also only covering Windows OS, not Mac OS X. Let's get started! First thing to do, is to Defrag your system with the included Disk Defragment Tool. Click the start button, then all programs, then hit accessories, find system tools and finally hit Disk Defragmenter. if you have a USB Drive plugged in, it will also list it. Remember, the main drive is always C:, unless you changed it. If you click Analyze, it will tell you information about how much space will be created and details etc. Click the main hard drive, then click defragment. Defragmenting can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. If you haven't done it in a long time, be prepared to wait a really long time. My computer only takes 15 minutes, because I do it every month. It is a great way to speed up your computer and at the same time free up space on the hard disk. Let's move on to the second way of speeding up a computer. This one might not help everyone, if you like the theme of XP. Right click 'My Computer' and hit properties. Find the advanced tab and click it. Then click settings under the performance text. You can adjust the visual effects that XP uses by using the 3 options listed. If you click let windows choose for me, it will enable all the effects and will slow your computer down. The same thing goes for the 2nd option, Adjust for best appearance. The third option is the one we want, Adjust for best performance, this takes away all the effects and boosts your computer's speed by a bit. You can also pick the visual effects you want by just ticking the check box, that is located to the left of the visual effect description. Click the adjust for best performance circle and hit OK. Then click the Apply button. If your desktop icons have a wierd box around the name of the icons, you can fix that. Go back to the Visual Effects window and scroll down through the list of the effects. Find the one that says, 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop'. Tick the box beside it and hit OK, then apply again. That should fix the icon label problem, if it persists, click the best appearance circle to revert it back. If that problem keeps happening, you will have to manually figure out, what effect keeps the desktop icon's label normal. The next way of speeding up your computer is a mini-faster version of the oversized Disk Defragmenter. This tool is handy and quick. Click Start, all programs, accessories, system tools and hit Disk Cleanup. When you click it, it will automatically start scanning for useless files that can be deleted to speed up your computer. After it is done scanning, it will list many areas from which it can clean. The default ticked boxes are fine, so just click OK. It will start removing all of the junk files and when it's done it will automatically exit. The next way, I do it every week, because I install and uninstall a lot of programs. This way involves a Registry Cleaner software. The best one I've found, is Eusing Registry Cleaner. You can find their site at, http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm. After you have installed the program and open it, a registration window will open. Registration is completely optional and is of no use to the user. To skip registration, click the skip button. Now, to begin scanning for registry errors, click scan for registry issue under the Tasks bar on the left. It will scan the main areas of the hard disk in which the registry errors usually occur. Registry errors are usually created when you uninstall a program, it leaves some of its registry behind on the user's hard drive. If you wish to stop scanning, hit the stop button. The registry errors it did find before you clicked stop will show up and can be repaired. Do not uncheck any of the boxes unless you want to keep the registry. Click the repair registry issue button on the left bar. It will tell you how many errors it repaired and that if you keep scanning, it will never show zero errors. Those are my ways of speeding up a computer, they work well for me and should work well for you too. If you are looking to completely reformat again, do use Windows XP Gamer's Edition. This version of XP is hacked, but is very fast compared to the original Home Edition or Professional Edition. I can't tell you where to get this version but I will just say one site; Paulpbaker.com. If your computer does not seem to get any faster, no matter what you do. You will, I am afraid, have to buy a new computer. I've used only the old Mac Computer, and do not know if the new Macs are fast. They say on the Apple website, that they squeeze every bit of performance out of the Intel processor, but who knows. They could be running average speed. The old Macs are slow, so don't count on buying a used Mac that is fat. I hope you enjoyed this article, and thanks for reading!

Microsoft Paint Tips & Tricks!

Hullo, everybody! By reading the title above, you must be thinking, who uses MS Paint, photoshop is the bomb! Well, I have only one answer to that, you use it for quick drawings and such. By quick drawings, I mean, quickly editing pictures, coloring pictures etc. Although you may think Ms Paint is very simple, there are a few tricks to it, that make it a little bit more interesting. Trick #1 - If you've noticed that the size limit for the paint brush, lines, pencil tools are too small, you've noticed incorrectly. If you've ever needed to make the size of the tool bigger for what ever reason, you can. Click the tool you want to enlarge, hold Ctrl and press the '+' button on your keyboard. Holding it down will keep increasing it until you let go. Now, you have a bigger paintbrush or line tool! This can come in handy if your picture is big and you are shading a part of it. Trick #2 - Custom Paintbrushes! You can create a design of a paintbrush then actually use that paintbrush to make cool drawings! Simply draw up a little paintbrush design and make a rectangle around it with the selection tool. Hold down the Shift key and drag around the little design you drew up. Now, you can make patterns and designs with the custom paintbrush! Trick #3 - If you ever wanted to change the color of a line around a box, but it was too small to keep filling in the color with the fill tool, you can use the color replacement trick. On the main color box, choose the color you are replacing, in the secondary color box, put in the color you want. Click the eraser tool and hold down left click and sweep over the lines of the drawing. This will change the line color of the drawing to the color you wanted! If you know anymore tricks, please post them in the comments, so that everyone can learn and apply them to Ms Paint. Thanks for reading!

How To: Grow Grass Real Fast!

Hey guys! Summer is just around the corner, (Don't know where I've seen that line before) so you want to have beautiful luscious glowing green grass! Right? If you don't, read for knowledge! Anyways, this method I've used for a long time, 3-4 years and has helped me grow grass real fast, as the title suggests. So, first thing you want to do, is grab a handful of your current soil and squeeze it in your hand. If it breaks easily, you have sandy soil. If it doesn't break at all with a poke, you have clay soil, the hard soil. If it breaks into very tiny pieces, you have sandy soil. After you have determined what kind of soil you have, go to your local gardening store and look for seeds. The bag of seeds should tell you what soil type it is for. If it doesn't, ask someone who works their and 9/10 times they know. Let's say I'm planting Bluegrass seeds, first thing I need would be a bag of bluegrass seeds and a bag of Miracle Grow. First, dampen your current soil with water. Then, take your Miracle Grow, and make a thin layer of it on top of the soil. By thin, I mean make it so there isn't much Miracle Grow on the soil. Now, take your grass seeds and make a thick layer of seeds on top of the miracle grow layer. By thick layer, I mean a good amount of seeds that should make it a little harder to see the soil. Now take your Miracle Grow again, make another very thin layer on top of the grass seeds layer. That's it! But, the trick to this is, you have to keep the layers and soil very moist, so it can grow really fast. You should water in the morning, water in the evening and water at night. In the morning at 9:30, in the evening at 5:00 PM, at night at 8:00 PM. If your water regulations and such do not allow you to water more than once, you will have to figure out another schedule other than this one. The grass should grow in 2-3 days, depending on how moist you kept it. Good Luck with growing your grass and thanks for reading!

How To: Play Neo Geo!

Hello everyone, this is a How-To about how to play Neo Geo games on your PC. Although I cannot provide you with direct links, I will just say one thing: Use Google! So, let's get started!
You will need a computer with at least 64mb RAM, because Neo Geo Console runs at 64mb RAM. First, you will need to get the NeoRageX emulator. You can google their site, google search 'neoragex emulator download', and it should come up. Next, you need the BIOS file, the BIOS file is needed so it can load all the roms, without the BIOS, you can't load the system. For the BIOS, search Romnation or Romhustler. You do NOT need to unzip the BIOS file, keep it zipped and just drag and drop it into where the neoragex.exe is located. Now, you need the ROM files. The ROM files came onto the computer, when someone took the time to rip them off of their original cartridges. For the ROM files, check CoolRom. After you have downloaded your ROM file, drag and drop it into the ROMS folder. If there isn't a ROMS folder, right click on the window, select New, then click Folder. Name it 'ROMS' and press Enter. Drag it in and double click neoragex.exe. A navy blue screen should come up in full screen view. The wall paper of the emulator might be different depending on which version of NeoRageX you downloaded. Click the 'Import' button and look down to where it says, 1 Rom(s) found. When it says that, it means you have successfully found a working copy of that game. Next, use the sidebar at the left to locate your game name and click on it. Then click the 'Launch' button. You can change the default controls of course, just click Controls, Keyboard Setup and configure it to your liking. You can use joypads, I have used them before and they work perfectly. You can turn on AutoFire for P1 or P2, player 1 or player 2 or both. To turn it on click controls, player controls and then click the arrow to turn on autofire. AutoFire is useful for shooting games such as Metal Slug and Sonic Wings. If you are new to Neo Geo Arcade System, I'll list some games for it that you might like.

Metal Slug Series - MUST HAVE for Neo Geo, a great side scrolling shooting game that you can play over and over again for a looooong time. The graphics are great, many people don't like them, I don't understand why. There are different guns you can get from PoW, prisoners of war. Some famous ones that you might have heard of are, heavy machine gun, flame shot and shot gun.

Sonic Wings 1,2,3 - Vertical scrolling jet shooter game. You control a jet that is going vertically up and many different patterns of enemy ships come at you firing all kinds of missiles and bombs. There are a variety of weapons including homing missiles and quad shooter. Great series, and not too difficult to finish.

Art Of Fighting 2 - The Art of Fighting series is a good fighting game, nice graphics and large characters that are easy to see on the screen. There are 3 Art Of Fighting games, but the 2nd one is the best one. Although the choice of characters could have been better.

Breakers & Breakers Revenge - One of my personal favorites, a 2D fighting game with cool characters. There aren't many characters to choose from but, the quality of each character, (moves and such) make it worth to practise and play with one particular character. There are 2-3 special moves for each character and the animations are detailed. Great game to play, if it is your first SNK fighting game.

Super Dodgeball - Many people do not enjoy this game, but there is more to it then meets the eye. Super Dodgeball, as the name suggests, is a dodgeball game. You can choose from 7 different teams and the leaders of each team are very well made. You can charge up your character's power bar to do a group special move or lone special move. The special move animations for this one are really well made too. One thing that I don't like is that some of the teams have the same team members. One team has a fat guy and the other team also has an identical fat guy, but the color of his pants is just changed. Excellent game with minor flaws, but worth playing.

I know A LOT of people like to play King Of Fighters Series, but everyone already knows about them and I don't really want to focus on that series. If you have not heard of it, play one of its many titles a couple of times. KoF is fast paced and has many characters and they are all cool looking. Anyways, I hope you learned something from this article and benefitted from it. Thanks for reading!

How To Make Money From Your Blog!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Hello everyone! Today I will be telling you how you can make money off of your site or blog. There are a variety of ways on how-to, but I will be covering the most frequently used method of doing it. The way I do it is, Google Adsense. Google is very popular, it has many great applications and services! Adsense is a service which allows YOU to make money just by blogging. It is not a scam at all, believe it or not. First, you will need to go to Google Adsense webpage and create an account. Here's the link for the Google Adsense page; https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/?destination=%2Fadsense%2Fhome. Just hit the big blue 'Sign Up' button and just fill in all of the fields correctly. After you have signed up, make sure you have a blog or website. If you follow all of Google's E-mail instructions correctly, you will end up with a Adsense Ad Code. You will have to paste that code into the HTML section of your site or blog. Once you have done that, you are ready to start raking in money. Some blogging services, like Blogger.com have an Adsense Gadget that you can easily put in just by putting in your Adsense account. If you are on Blogger, click customize in the navbar and then click the Layout Tab in the top bar. Pick a spot for where you are going to place the Adsense Gadget and then click 'Add A Gadget'. This will open a new window with many options. For now you just need the AdSense Gadget. Scroll down until you see Adsense, click on the Plus picture and a new page will load. These are settings that you can completely customize. You can change the size, colour, and type of ad. The type of ad just means if it is going to be picture only or text only or both. The best settings are the default colours blogger gives you and the size 300x250 rectangle. Now just hit the 'Save' button and you're all set! Click 'save' again in the layout page and then click 'view blog' at the top. You can now see the Adsense Ads showing up on your Blogger blog. The way this works is, per click on the ad you get money and per 1000 views you get money. So, even if no one clicks the ad, per thousand views you can still get money. There are many ways to drive tons of traffic to your site, such as a link exchange program. A link exchange program means that you give your blog's address to another site so that they advertise your blog, then they give their blog address so you advertise their blog. It is a win-win situation which is a MUST if you are a beginner blogger. BlogUpp! is a great way to get more traffic to your blog too. BlogUpp is a simple way and anyone can do it. So check out BlogUpp.com or you can go to their blog! I hope this How-To has helped to a little bit better to see how you can make money off of your blog or site. Happy Blojing!

Super Nintendo is THE BEST!

Recently, with all the new so called 'video' game systems coming out, it seems people have forgotten what video games actually are. Video games are supposed to be challenging but also fun. Those new fake video game systems are too easy and, honestly, are quite sad. So, I'd like everyone to remember the 'Golden Ages'. Yes, the time of the Super Nintendo! Super Nintendo is a MUST own console. If you never played it, get one! Buy one, auction for it, GET IT! If you can't, use Google. The list of superb games for Super Nintendo is a pretty long one, so I will just name a few titles that are very known.

Super Mario World - Some say it is the best Mario game ever. I think it is, but you could compare it with Super Mario 3.

Chrono Trigger - My favorite RPG game on the Snes. (besides Zelda) The music is great, the battle system is unbelievable. I say it could compete with Final Fantasy I. Overall rating 5/5!

Zelda: Link To The Past - Another one of my favorites, the main thing that makes this RPG pretty cool is the use of different weapons. Bombs, arrows, boomerang, it's all there! The dungeons though were kind of easy, but that could be just me.

Super Punch-Out! - 2D boxing game that is awesome! Some people had said that there is a transparent glitch, but there isn't. It's supposed to be like that. Anyways, it is a fabulous game! The controls are simple, you can customize them the way you like to. There's a button for the Super Punch or Rapid Punch, which is cool. The character designs are colorful and bright. The characters also look like cartoons and most of the time cheat while boxing. 10/10 Rating for this Gem.

Super Metroid - My brother bought this one and never actually played it, so I did. At first, it was it seemed like a scary game. Repeating beeping noises, no enemies in sight, alone in the beginning. The atmoshpere is frightening at first. The bosses are great, just how they should be; Big, evil, cool. There many equips you acquire throughout the game, like rockets, grapple hook and two new suits. 10/10 Rating Again!

In conclusion, this post is to tell you all; Do not forget the past of video games, because without them we wouldn't have future video games. So, if possible get a Super Nintendo or any other classic console and play. Play like you're playing for your life. Yes, Life.
