How To: Break Graboid's Bandwidth Limit!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Hey, guys! This How-To is a keeper for sure! If you like movies, tv shows, cartoons and all that, Graboid is for you! Is it free, you ask? Not at all, but we will make it free. When you download Graboid and sign up, they give a limited bandwidth of, say somewhere around 5000mb, which is roughly 5GB. One movie is almost 800MB, so that can't possibly hold tons of movies, can it? I'll show you, how to remove the limit and get bandwidth for free, in Graboid! You will need 2 things, Graboid Setup and Effective File Search. You can get Graboid Setup at, http://www.graboid.com/home/download/. You can EFS from http://www.sowsoft.com/search.htm. I'm going to assume, you have already used the Graboid Trial Bandwidth that you get for free when you sign up for the trial. So, you have Graboid installed already. Install EFS and uninstall Graboid. Now run the program Effective File Search. It will give you a nag screen, saying it is a shareware. Look for the "Containing Text" tab and click it. Now find, RegEx checkbox and tick it. In the text box, type "Graboid", without the quotations. After it has scanned every file possible that is related to Graboid, delete all those files. Install Graboid again and make a new account. You will notice, it says nothing about a trial or limited bandwidth. You can do this as many times as you wish. It works 100%, if it does not, you have done something incorrectly, you may have not deleted every single file. You still will not be able to view HD videos, but it still is worth it. Other than that, Graboid is a great program, but it's just not worth buying for a few HD quality movies and shows. Enjoy your movies and thanks for reading this How-To!!!

Can you make a video tutorial for this? I think this trick may have worked in April of '09 but I believe that it is out-of-date now .... Please prove me wrong via a video! Thanks!!
