How To: Grow Grass Real Fast!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Hey guys! Summer is just around the corner, (Don't know where I've seen that line before) so you want to have beautiful luscious glowing green grass! Right? If you don't, read for knowledge! Anyways, this method I've used for a long time, 3-4 years and has helped me grow grass real fast, as the title suggests. So, first thing you want to do, is grab a handful of your current soil and squeeze it in your hand. If it breaks easily, you have sandy soil. If it doesn't break at all with a poke, you have clay soil, the hard soil. If it breaks into very tiny pieces, you have sandy soil. After you have determined what kind of soil you have, go to your local gardening store and look for seeds. The bag of seeds should tell you what soil type it is for. If it doesn't, ask someone who works their and 9/10 times they know. Let's say I'm planting Bluegrass seeds, first thing I need would be a bag of bluegrass seeds and a bag of Miracle Grow. First, dampen your current soil with water. Then, take your Miracle Grow, and make a thin layer of it on top of the soil. By thin, I mean make it so there isn't much Miracle Grow on the soil. Now, take your grass seeds and make a thick layer of seeds on top of the miracle grow layer. By thick layer, I mean a good amount of seeds that should make it a little harder to see the soil. Now take your Miracle Grow again, make another very thin layer on top of the grass seeds layer. That's it! But, the trick to this is, you have to keep the layers and soil very moist, so it can grow really fast. You should water in the morning, water in the evening and water at night. In the morning at 9:30, in the evening at 5:00 PM, at night at 8:00 PM. If your water regulations and such do not allow you to water more than once, you will have to figure out another schedule other than this one. The grass should grow in 2-3 days, depending on how moist you kept it. Good Luck with growing your grass and thanks for reading!
