First Post of the Ummm.. Blog!

Monday, March 30, 2009

Hey, this is the first post of the Ummm... Blog! On this blog I will try and make posts that everyone finds interesting! So, for the today, I will be discussing Video Game Consoles!

So far we have 3 top consoles. Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii.

Xbox 360 retails for $199, Features a built in hard drive and has many great specs;

-512 DDR3 RAM
-Detachable AND upgradeable hard drive. The default HD is 20GB.

For the 360, You can buy many other attachments, like microphones, keyboards, etc.
Overall, It's an O.K system.

Playstation 3 retails for $399, ALSO features a built in hard drive with the following specs;

-256 DDR3 RAM - 256 LESS than the Xbox 360
-Upgradeable Hard drive, Also is detachable.

PS3, 399$ is a lot of money. It is pretty much the same as the Xbox 360. The controller is different of course. It looks different, other than that it's pretty pricey for a video game console that functions the same as the Microsoft Xbox 360. It does have a FEW good titles but other than that it is not worth buying JUST to buy those titles, such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resident Evil 5.

Nintendo Wii retails for $280 at Wal-Mart. It is different, but the downside is the graphics detail is a lil bit decreased. Pretty good system. Has many good titles, plus the ability to download SNES games etc.

-Motion control Controllers - Lol.
-Downloadable classic video games
-512 DDR3 RAM
-SD Card Slot for SD Cards! :)

Also has a few great titles such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart Wii.

So, I hope this post helped you understand these consoles a little bit better. But, personally I would never buy any of these systems myself, because I have a PC. Yes, an awesome PC! Please comment if you enjoyed this post--article I mean, yeah.
